Did you know, Mike Forte created the first version of the GM Tremec?
It was a TREMEC 3550 for a Ford and bolted it on the stock GM bellhousing of his 68 Camaro Z28 running low 12’s. The 3rd run was an 11.92 at 113.63 mph with 3.55 gears.

Introducing the new Tremec TKX line of transmissions! This brand new line of 5-speed RWD manual transmissions is the replacement of the tried and true TKO line of transmissions. The TKX has been built from the ground up by Tremec as a purely aftermarket transmission, specifically meant to be used in custom builds for classic muscle cars and hot rods. Just like the TKO line this transmission can be purchased for both Ford and GM applications with multiple different gear ratios to fit your specific needs.
