For years Tremec transmissions were used in Ford vehicles until the year 1992. Mike Forte is the man responsible for Tremec transmissions being used in GM applications. Mike’s accomplished his goal of machining the Ford 3550 Tremec transmissions to fit the GM bellhousing bolt pattern with his 1968 Chevy Camaro. Mike’s one-of-a-kind Camaro rapidly gained a following being the first ever car to have a Chevy small block paired to a Tremec TKO-500 under the hood.
